Megan & Austin’s Creative & Fun Wedding at Sudbury Gasworks

As a luxury wedding planner, every celebration I have the honour of designing stands out for all the right reasons. For Megan & Austin, their Sudbury Gasworks wedding was defined by soft and delicate design elements paired with fun, creative guest entertainment. With design and styling at the heart of my role, we worked together to create a celebration that felt feminine, ethereal, and above all centred around what they knew their guests would love.

Ceremony

The day began with a thoughtful church ceremony in their family parish. With bespoke order-of-service booklets and monogrammed confetti bags, their vows were witnessed by their closest friends and family.

Reception

Megan & Austin’s priority for the day was not only to tie the knot but also to ensure their loved ones had the best possible experience.

Guests were welcomed into the reception space with a bespoke, custom-made mirror welcome sign, the perfect introduction to the style and elegance that would follow. Inside, a live pianist played the couple’s favourite tunes which soon evolved into dancing and spontaneous karaoke singalongs.

Every detail of the design and planning placed their guests at the heart of the celebration, from thoughtful party games and quizzes during the drinks reception to a decadent dessert station later in the evening.

Luxury wedding reception design at Sudbury Gasworks

For the reception, we embraced the couple’s vision of a soft, feminine, and ethereal wedding styling. Ivory draping was installed to draw the eye to the top table, creating a focal point that was both intimate and dramatic.

The tablescapes were a perfect blend of texture and detail. Delicate floral arrangements added colour and depth which was reflected beautifully in the floral-painted table signs. Soft fabrics were layered across the tables for added texture and subtle tones, while romantic lamps cast a warm, gentle glow. Each menu was tied with an ivory bow, and heartfelt notes were placed on family table settings.

The couple’s reaction to seeing their reception space for the first time will stay with me forever. Their smiles and happy tears were a powerful reminder of why thoughtful luxury wedding design has the ability to transform a wedding into something truly magical.

Evening celebrations

After a beautifully styled wedding breakfast, Megan & Austin cut their wedding cake and invited guests to enjoy their incredible dessert station. The night quickly transformed into an all-night celebration filled with music, laughter, and a dance floor that stayed full until the very end.
