A Summer Marquee Wedding In The Peak District Countryside

The Perfect Setting

A marquee wedding offers unparalleled flexibility and the chance to create a space that reflects your unique style and vision. The Peak District, with its untouched landscapes and breathtaking views, is a dream location for a marquee setup. Imagine exchanging vows with panoramic views of rolling hills as your backdrop, followed by an evening of dancing under a starlit sky.

Harriet & Jack chose to host their wedding within the grounds of Harriet’s parents family home, giving the elegance of a classic quintessential English Summer garden party. Harriet got ready at her family home with her bridesmaids and met Jack at Sheffield Town Hall for their legal ceremony. We transported all of their guests over from Sheffield following the ceremony ready to begin the celebrations with their drinks reception taking place in a secluded wooded area of the grounds.

Why Choose a Marquee Wedding?

A marquee wedding offers unparalleled flexibility. You can design your space to reflect your styleβ€”whether that’s classic elegance, boho chic, or a whimsical garden party. With a marquee, you’re not confined to traditional layouts or dΓ©cor; you can mix and match elements, creating a venue that feels uniquely yours. Plus, summer in the Peak District brings long, golden evenings and the opportunity to celebrate under the stars..

Styling Your Marquee

The beauty of a marquee wedding lies in its versatility. Here are a few ideas to inspire your styling:

  • Floral Wonderland: Adorn the marquee with cascading greenery, floral installations, and seasonal blooms. Use soft pastels for a romantic feel or vibrant hues for a bold statement.

  • Rustic Elegance: Embrace the countryside setting with wooden tables, fairy lights, and vintage accents. Add texture with hessian table runners, mismatched chairs, and wildflower arrangements.

  • Modern Minimalism: Opt for clean lines, neutral tones, and elegant details like gold cutlery or crystal glassware. Less can truly be more.

We designed this elegant countryside marquee for Harriet & Jack perfectly capturing the essence of an elegant countryside marquee wedding. The long banquet-style tables, draped in crisp white linen, are adorned with lush arrangements of wildflowers and greenery that echo the natural beauty of the Peak District. Red gingham napkins add a delightful pop of colour and a playful, rustic charm to the table setting, complemented by delicate glassware and tall, ivory taper candles. Outside the marquee, the floral urns filled with seasonal blooms and autumnal foliage create a welcoming, sophisticated entrance, blending timeless elegance with a touch of whimsy. This thoughtful design strikes the perfect balance between refinement and the relaxed allure of a countryside celebration.

We enjoyed a long drinks reception to take in the beautiful English Summer sun and sat down for dinner come golden hour for a feast of their favourite food, tacos. There were cocktails a plenty for the evening celebrations and a band to keep the dancefloor full all night long.
