Festival-Themed Wedding at Mount St. Mary’s College

From the moment we began designing Maddy and Jack’s wedding, we knew this wasn’t going to be your typical celebration. Set in the historic grounds of Mount St. Mary’s College, their day was the perfect mix of playful, personal, and elegant designs - a true festival-inspired wedding filled with colour, music, and the most thoughtful details.

With design, styling, and full-day coordination from our team, this was a celebration that brought their personalities to life, embraced their family background and ensured every guest felt like part of something truly special.

Mix Of Tradition And Fun

The day began with a traditional church ceremony accompanied by organ music. After their religious vows Maddy and Jack stepped out of the church as newlyweds to a bagpiper leading the celebration.

Guests boarded a vintage Routemaster bus for the journey to the reception, while the couple travelled in a classic Land Rover adorned with a white ribbon. This transport choice felt totally on-brand for their countryside celebration.

Festival-Themed Wedding Reception

Held in the expansive grounds of the college, Maddy and Jack’s reception was a mini festival including tipis, a vintage milk truck bar, mini golf, lawn games and a Prosecco wall waiting to greet guests.

We decided to lean into a wedding colour palette of soft pastels with pops of pink and blue, incorporating these colours throughout their florals, signage, and the mismatched bridesmaid dresses, which looked effortlessly beautiful and represented this summer vibe celebration.

Incorporating their festival theme throughout their wedding translated into a fun seating chart made from min shot bottles with custom name tags to get the party started. Paired with a bespoke neon sign that was the focal point of their reception - every design element reflected the couples theme, energy and vibe they wanted to create.

Incorporating Irish Touches

As a nod to Jack’s Irish heritage, the couple created moments throughout the day to reflect his family background. A traditional Irish trad band played during the drinks reception, while later that evening, guests were treated to a surprise Irish dance performance just before the couple’s first dance.

Evening Party

One of our favourite moments of the day came just as the sun set and we orchestrated a sparkler tunnel that led the couple and their guests back into the tipi for the Irish dancing and partying portion of the evening. It was atmospheric, fun and totally unforgettable.

Maddy changed into a tea-length reception dress - perfect for dancing the night away. The couple chose to have a fingerprint guest book that added a creative touch to the evening, letting guests leave their mark on a day through a keepsake piece of art.

Immersive Wedding Vision

From the festival styling to the heartfelt moments and immersive atmosphere, Maddy and Jack’s wedding was a celebration of everything that makes them, them — colourful, fun, laid-back and full of love.

It was a pleasure to bring their vision to life, and a reminder of how a well-designed wedding can be both effortlessly stylish and deeply meaningful.

We’d love to help design your day with intention, style, and creativity. Get in touch with us if you want your wedding to stand out in more ways than one.
