Modern 2 day Cotswold Wedding at Kin House
When it comes to designing weddings that feel both refined and personal, Kirsten and Chris’s celebration at Kin House was the perfect example of how thoughtful details, modern styling, and an incredible atmosphere can come together to create a truly unforgettable experience.
Held over two days at one of our favourite luxury Cotswold venues, Kin House, their wedding was filled with live music, bespoke details and so much personality. The setting for their celebration was the exclusive Georgian manor that’s known for its blend of modern interiors with timeless Cotswold architecture.
Al Fresco Welcome Dinner
The festivities began the night before the wedding with a relaxed al fresco welcome dinner held on the lawn. Inspired by Italian summer evenings, the couple chose a colour palette of lemon yellow and sky blue for a fresh and romantic colour palette. Lemons decorated the tables and buttercup yellow cashmere blankets matching the bride’s outfit were draped over the chairs.
Guests enjoyed a bespoke menu followed by a champagne tower pour. This welcome dinner set the tone for the rest of the weekend and was a wonderful start to Kirsten and Chris’s wedding.
Modern Wedding Wedding Day
For the wedding day we worked closely with K&C to plan and design a celebration that felt truly them, keeping the aesthetic and vibe of romantic, elegant and modern at the core. Their ceremony took place indoors in the Hearth Room with the beautifully decorated fireplace as the backdrop to their vows.
Guests were welcomed with custom wedding day newspapers, a creative and personal touch that made everyone feel part of their story from the very start.
We created a cosy, heartfelt atmosphere that perfectly suited their relaxed yet polished black tie style.
Soft peaches and pinks defined the floral colour palette adding a fresh, romantic touch to the ceremony space. These floral arrangements were later repurposed around their sweetheart reception table to create visual continuity throughout the day.
Unique Wedding Moments
One of the defining elements of Kirsten and Chris’s wedding was their love of live music. A string quartet played for the ceremony and drinks reception, adding a timeless soundtrack to the day. In the evening, a live band brought the energy to the dancefloor getting guests on their feet for an unforgettable party!
Our favourite moment of the whole day would probably be their private cake cutting that they decided to have privately. Taking a breather to enjoy each other's company, cut their fabulous Lambeth wedding cake and sip on espresso martinis - this moment was so fun and a lasting personal memory for them to keep.
The bride then surprised guests with a perfectly timed outfit change into a short modern wedding dress that felt effortless and totally her!
How We Create Bespoke Weddings
Kirsten and Chris’s wedding was never about following trends or recreating a Pinterest mood board. This day was about crafting an atmosphere where every guest felt welcomed, where every space felt intentional, and where the design quietly reflected their love story.
From the room layout, flow and design to the pastel colour palette and personalised details, we work closely with our couple to find out which elements will really mean something to them on the day.
We shared our live band recommendations, helped to choose cocktails and decide on their two day itinerary with a carefully structured timeline.
If you are looking to create a wedding that feels as personal as it is beautiful, we’d love to help you bring your wedding vision into a beautiful reality.
